How to make handwashing soap with lemon & eucalyptus

Elevate your handwashing routine with this Homemade Lemon & Eucalyptus Hand Soap! With our ALTA 1 machine, we’ll infuse natural oils with fresh citrus and eucalyptus for a gentle, skin-loving soap that’s as refreshing as it is nourishing. Let’s get started!

Ingredients

For Infusion

  • 2-3 tbsp of dried eucalyptus
  • 2-3 tbsp of lemon zest
  • 10 tbsp of coconut oil

For Handwashing Soap

  • 5 tbsp of almond oil
  • 10 tbsp of olive oil
  • 12 tbsp of chopped natural soap base
  • 2 tbsp of natural honey
  • 1 tbsp of blended oatmeal (optional)

Equipment

  • Your ALTA 1 machine
  • A Strainer
  • Soap molds or a reusable tray made from recycled packaging

Instructions

Prepare the Infusion:

  1. Fill the Kettle with 2-3 tbsp of dried eucalyptus and lemon zest (if you are using fresh herbs, make sure you run the "DRY" mode to dry the eucalyptus and lemon zest first).
  2. Add coconut oil to the Kettle and close the Lid.
  3. Set the machine to "ALTAFUSE" mode at the default temperature and set the timing to 30-40 minutes.
  4. Once completed, strain the infused coconut oil and set it aside to cool.

Mix the Oils and Soap Base:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond oil, olive oil, and chopped natural soap base.
  2. Add the infused coconut oil and honey, mixing until well combined.
  3. If desired, stir in the blended oatmeal for added exfoliation.

Mold the Soap:

  1. Pour the soap mixture into your chosen soap molds or a reusable tray.
  2. Allow the soap to set and harden completely before use.
